The nine-times World Champion enjoyed a positive weekend at the Blancpain Endurance Series round at Monza, as he switched to four wheels.

Valentino Rossi completed an enjoyable weekend on four wheels at Monza, where he competed in the opening round of the 2012 Blancpain Endurance Series.

Rossi, behind the steering wheel of a Ferrari 458 Italia, placed eighth in his category and 18th in the general classification, driving alongside his friend Uccio Salucci.

It was a familiar-sounding winning line-up who triumphed at the event, as Bas Leinders, Markus Palttala and Maxime Martin of the Marc VDS Racing Team – which runs Mika Kallio and Scott Redding in the Moto2™ World Championship – took the honours
